Over the years, the NGO Forum has become a vibrant platform for dialogue, policy influence, and coalition-building. It covers a wide range of themes, from climate justice, freedom of expression, women’s and children’s rights, to peace, security, and digital rights.
The outcomes of the Forum, including resolutions and recommendations, are presented to the African Commission for consideration during its public session. This ensures that civil society voices are reflected in the continental human rights agenda.
As we prepare for the upcoming session, the ACDHRS invites all stakeholders, NGOs, youth groups, community-based organizations, and human rights advocates to actively participate and contribute to shaping Africa’s human rights future.
This year’s Forum is expected to bring together over 250 participants from across the continent. The event will take place from 17th to 19th October 2025 at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre in Banjul, The Gambia.
